We processed two of our own deer this year which we have done in the past. But this time we included the kids. This was an adventure in tolerance. It was a two day affair with my DD's deer first. And he was very large and very gamey. This was because he was older and heavy in rut. so I am in the process of turning him into jerky. We had one grinding burger, one sealing meat and the Hubby packaging roasts. I even got a break to go on a pizza run into town. It was a good learning experience for the kids and I think it brought it home for my oldest that she saw the whole process from field to table.
