Tis the season.

Well we are heading into spring and that means kids! The four legged kind. Any time now we will be expecting goat kids from our small dairy herd. The checking and waiting drives me nuts this time of year but soon it will be over and then we will once again have fresh milk and cream for drinking, cheese and soap making, butter! I have also been at work hauling old hay out of the goat pens and wheeling it to the garden plot for weed control. Burning off the sticker patches hoping to reduce their numbers. And general spring cleaning around the yard. We bought a few more blueberry bushes and some rasberries and have chicks in the basement. So it really is starting to gear up for the warmer months even if it is snowing and 30 degrees out right now.
